Strawberries are red

Blueberries are blue

This is so cliche

I though so too

These ones speak to me

With colors come in two

They say Hi

And I reply

O darling!

How do you do?

Thimble, dew and bramble

The berries you see

Some names you mumble

Let's make crumbles

Let's make pie

Wait a minute!

So aborbs to my eye

Young the bloom

It's delicate red

Vibrant to eyes

Scavenge in the wild

Not all of them but most

Come in to my backyard

Give them time it will reveal

Look at the shade!

So long the red the color fade

The berries are here

As the black appear

It should be sweeter

As dark as the berry looks

But more its boost

Berries darling Blackberries

Just like the bluebs

Extraordinary

Yes the blackberries

Very nice but also tart

Not black when cooked

Nor purple to start

Yet somehow

They cuddle my heart

Berries darling

Blackberries
